The "LITTLE Book" is as useful as ever. Anyone who is serious about writing, in whatever context, should have this gem of a book -- funny, clear, and a wonderful essay on writing (mainly creative writing) by White at the end. This is not a definitive guide but covers key grammar and punctuation, commonly misused words and the art of writing -- still all for under $10 bucks. All students (and teachers, of course) in high school or university courses involving a lot of writing, such as scientific papers or essays, should have this book.

It was probably just bad luck but the first topic I tried to get information about was gerunds and both the index and table of contents indicated a 7-page section of discussion but in fact there was nothing about gerunds on those pages. OF course, this means that other page numbers must be off as the pages were not blank or non-existent; just full of different material. This is a very popular book and is pricey (as a consequence?) but I am disappointed.

This film is extremely powerful and wonderfully acted. For those who have not read the play, there are lots of twists and turns so the ending is not obvious, unlike as in some Shakespeare works. Even if you have read the play and know what happens the unfolding of events is so (spoiler alert) painfully, clearly, delineated that the title character's ultimate downfall and the attitudes and behavior of the supporting characters are really beautiful.
