It's occured to me to explain a little of my nickname, in case anyone's curious. Shanachie is the Gaelic for 'storyteller' and Shadowfax is the famous horse from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. (And yes, I loved the movies!)These are the names of my swords. (I know, I know most people name cats, not swords). ^_^
As to reviews, I tend to write my reviews on obscure products, especially music or books that have little editorial description to help viewers know what to expect from an item. Although, I do also enjoy writing a less obscure review now and again. I'm a fan of fantasy and sf, as well as Young adult and children's books. My music tastes vary widely, but I have a real fondness for Irish music. I'm currently working on expanding my knowledge of anime and manga.
Just wanted to note the passing on of a good friend, discussion board member and great reviewer, Bob Zeidler who died 4/2/05. May he rest in peace and have good music wherever his soul may go.

Caught in a war between the noble houses of Faerie, relentlessly hunted by something out of a nightmare, down on his luck musician, Theo Vilmos is having a singularly bad day. It seems that Theo is somehow a reluctant pawn in the power games going on in this urbanized Fairyland-and his only ally is a smart-mouthed Sprite named Applecore. Desperately seeking bishounen? You might want to check out this series! Lee So-Young has crafted a gothic-style vampire series that is likely to appeal to many of the shoujo audience who enjoy a blend of horror and fantasy with plenty of sexy anime guys appearing on the pages.
