Although I like futuristic/sci-fi and time travel romance, this book is really hard to get through. The quest for the Vial of Seduction takes forever as the plot just plods along, unexciting and anti-climatic. The author's description of the virtual world and fictional names lacked imagination and subtlety. I didn't feel for the characters. I found it a dull read and do not recommend purchasing it.
I sat down with this book on one sitting. A great read with witty dialogue, together with funny and poignant scenes. You'll find your typical romance elements: the Big Misunderstanding, "evil" kin (aka sister), sexy hero with a typical alpha name, atypical heroine name, damsels in distress and an epilogue to check if they are still living happily ever after. I would like to see more of the Lady Scruples plot - perhaps the author should have deleted it altogether.
I'm sorry to say that this book is a great disappointment if you are looking for a great (lighthighted?) romance and plotline. The secondary plot is quite unnecessary - you literally can skip those passages (I did!) just to finish the book. Ren's disguises in public just annoyed me somewhat. Not worth buying.
