Gone with a Handsomer Man by Michael Lee West
Gone with a Handsomer Man by Michael Lee West
4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun read, June 3 2011
I bought the Kindle version of this book, after reading a review in the NY Times. It did not disappoint. The book was fun and full of plot twists. It made me think of the mysteries I devoured as a child, but it is definitely meant for grownups! And, if you like cooking, the book will give you both some interesting ideas as well as recipes. If you're a fan of mysteries set in the South, this book will probably appeal to you. Definitely a good choice for those lazy days or summer.
Nurse Jackie: The Complete First Season DVD ~ Edie Falco
4.0 out of 5 stars Smart, funny and dark, June 2 2010
Although Edie Falco is the star of this project, it would not be the same without brilliant performances from the ensemble cast. Eve Best is brilliant as the sharp witted and stunningly gorgeous Dr. O'Hara. Peter Facinelli gives an amazing comic performance. Merritt Wever is crazy talented in her portrayal of the awkward trainee. My only wish is that the episodes were longer.

And as a delicious bonus for Soprano fans out there: If you ever wanted to see Carmelle and Father Phil get it on, this is as close as you're going to get!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly Funny!, June 2 2010
If your a fan of classic British comedy, this series will likely appeal to you. It's packed with great performances and cringingly hilarious misunderstandings. Anything that can go wrong in the week before the wedding does. It's worth watching again and again. Sadly Seasons 2 and 3 are not available in Canada.

Highly recommended!
