I have not made my way very far into it but so far so good. I like Kelby's enthusiasm although others have commented negatively at his attempmts to keep things light. Personally I don't mind a bit of humour in an otherwise potentially dry subject. Also I like his web support of his book. There are a few typos here and there which I found surprizing in what appears to be a quality publication. All in all I like it and would buy it again.

I'm a paramedic and I wanted a small pulse oximeter for my jump kit. It turns on automatically, is small and light. Works well, the only annoying feature is that it was meant for personal use, so for me to read it when it's on a patient's finger the readout is upside down.
If you want to learn to draw this book will definitley get you there. I have wanted to learn to draw forever and with the help of this book I got there. It works. I bought a copy for my Mother and my dentist.
