In My Own Words:
I'm a substitute teacher, mostly working in 5/6th grade, with 10-year-old twins of my own. Reading is a passion - I prefer a long series with character development over multi-generational sagas, and I like happy endings, mostly in mysteries, where the good guy wins.

I'm a huge Friends fan, and, in a fit of nostalgia for the end of the show, I picked up this CD.
The music and dialogue snippets are all from the first season. Some of the music on Friends that I really associate with the show (especially those involving the big Ross & Rachel moments) therefore aren't included. I don't remember, frankly, when some of these songs WERE played - and I know the show pretty well - but they are all good.
I do most of my music listening on my mp3 player during workouts these days, and there are plenty of upbeat songs that I enjoy for that.

While I enjoyed "If Looks Could Kill", I also had some problems with it - it definitely felt like a first novel. This book was much better, in my opinion. I cared much more about Bailey this time out, the fashion descriptions were not as evident (therefore making the book more readable in future without getting distracted by clothes descriptions), the twists were not as obvious.
There are still a few problems - if you, like me, are from a small town, you could be offended by the seeming characterization of all "locals" outside of NYC as being hicks and/or stupid. While the twists weren't as obvious, a dedicated mystery reader won't be all that surprised by them.
Still, the story… Read more

My twins received "Bob" from Grammy at their first Christmas, when they weren't even one. It remains a favorite, even now that they are two. I don't dare box it up with the Christmas stuff - we read it almost daily, even though it's definitely a seasonal book. They love to find Bob's picture in each story, and definitely get a kick out of the rhythms, which is also my favorite thing about any of Boynton's books.
This one's a winner in my house!
