There's A Baby in the House: Preparing your Dog fo&hellip by Michael Wombacher
2.0 out of 5 stars Why Treat a Good Dog Bad?, April 19 2004
I bought this book hoping that I would love it and get lots of practical advice, but honestly I was disappointed. My husband and I have two beautiful beagles, who have been our children for about 18 months now. We are working on conceiving and thought that we should get our dogs prepared for the baby. To begin with my dogs don't really have any major behavior problems. They have no separation anxiety, sleep the whole night through, play well with my nephews, and are completely housebroken. Some of the advice in this book just seems plain mean.

Black Jack Point by Jeff Abbott
Black Jack Point by Jeff Abbott
I got this book when Jeff Abbott came to Rockport, TX and did a book signing. So, my book is a signed edition. This book takes place in a fictional town between Rockport and Aransas Pass, TX called Port Leo. Living in this area, myself, made the book come to life in way that was beyond other books. I stayed up late finishing this book and actually thought that someone was tailing me when I drove somewhere the next morning. The book was so real that it was as though I was part of the action. It's so neat that the characters go to places… Read more

Jeff Abbott, who vacationed in this area while growing up knows South Texas and does justice to the region. His ability to spin the tale while providing all the background details just right had me believing that this was all happening right in my town and I was in the middle of it all.

I love whodunit books and this is now one of my favorites.
