In My Own Words:
I wish to thank all who read my reviews and appreciate your time involved. I love cats, Sci-fi, US and Natural History. I read two and maybe more books per week depending upon time and content. My favorite Sci-Fi is Star Trek and I write short stories, but nothing to date has be published in this genre. I like photography and long walks in the woodlands for my best pictures. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds VII by Dean Wesley Smith
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds VII by Dean Wesley Smith
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds VII edited by Dean Wesley Smith, with John J. Ordover, Elisa J. Kassin, and Paula M. Block is the seventh edition in the Strange New Worlds series. This collection of short stories is from the readers of Trek submitting their works for review. What makes this book interesting is that you get to read some of the early works of some very promissing writers along with some seasoned submitters of previous editions.

Getting to read about what the readers think should be going on in the Trek universe is intriguing. There are seven submissions in the Star Trek Original Series, six submissions in the Star Trek: The Next Generation... included are the Grand Prize… Read more

A Time to Hate (Star Trek The Next Generation)
3.0 out of 5 stars ST: TNG A Time to Hate, July 14 2004
Star Trek: The Next Generation "A Time to Hate" written by Robert Greenberger is a continuation of the story from "A Time to Love" also written by Greenberger. The "A Time to..." books are a recap of the untold events that have happened to the U.S.S. Enterprise and her crew between Star Trek: "Insurrection" and Star Trek: "Nemesis."

The only action is hand to hand and there are two different storylines that the author is trying to keep the reader's interested in, and there is adequate interation between the characters as we read on in the book. I for one,… Read more

Fossils Of Florisant by Hw Meyer
Fossils Of Florisant by Hw Meyer
The Fossils of Florissant written by Herbert W. Meyer is a wonderful collection of flora and fauna from the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Encased between layers of volcanic ash from an erupted volcano 34 million years ago are animals, leaves, and plant life at the time and are remarkably well preserved.

"The Fossils of Florissant" is a collection of different museum specimens all brought together in one readable tome for not only the specialist paleontologist but the causal reader of interest as well. This book is easily followed and is laid out well. There are ample illustrations and… Read more
