Yes, I do judge a book by the cover. This cover was so cool, I had to buy it. Then, I started reading it. What a hoot! I learned about Canadian good girls, bad girls, winners, losers, saints and sinners. We have an amazing history of chicks in Canada! Thanks to the author for making it so much fun to learn about the women of my country. I loved the sections on being a "good' wife and about the war times and what women went through. This book runs the gamut and my eyes are certainly opened wider to what my mom and grandma went through! Canadian Chicks Rock!

This book is great! My nieces really enjoyed this book when they knew their new sister was coming. The could really figure out the whole process of what was happening to mom. It was clear, and truly interesting. My husband and I really liked it too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what's needed, Sep 9 2002
When I lost my first baby to a miscarriage, I needed information! I searched high and low... and found this book. It really helped... and it did help through the next two miscarriages. I trusted where it came from, as the author, Ann Douglas had suffered losses as well. I connected with this book... and am lucky to have had it when I needed it.
