Just a laid back 23 year old guy. I spend most of my time on the computer or keeping myself busy with little hobbies. Used to play a lot of video games and post on plenty of forums.

Summer Wars

I could go on and on about how great Summer Wars is, but I'll try to get straight to the point.

Summer Wars is awesome. The animation style is one of my favourites, and the movie hits a lot of the right beats. It's funny, it has action, it has drama, it's suspenseful, and it's emotional.

The biggest issue is that for anyone who's ever watched "Our War Game" (a Digimon movie) or saw the American version of The Digimon Movie (middle section), Summer Wars is all too familiar.

From "messing around" on computers, to a rogue virus/AI, to even the climactic finale, it's eerily the same. It could have just been one big coincidence, but considering it's the same… Read more
Logitech MK300 Wireless Desktop by Logitech
The Logitech MK300 is a great wireless mouse and keyboard set. Especially if you can get it on sale. I think I picked it up for $20, and it was well worth it. I use it for my computer that I have hooked up to my living room tv, so it's nice to use when sitting on the couch.

Range is good. Not amazing. Starts having trouble around 10 feet away from the source.

The USB connection is not perfect. Adding more wires behind your computer can get messy, and the sensor is so light that it's easy to knock it around and have fall behind your desk. The newer MK320 set is just a USB stick, rather than a small unit attached with a wire.

Nothing too special to talk about these component cables. It's a spare set for me, so I don't actually use them very often.

The actual cables are a little stiff, but to be expected with newer cables. The blue colour of the cable is nothing to write home about. It has a blocker about 8" from each end so that the cables don't split further down the line, so that's always good.

Biggest annoyance is that the colour coding RGB is just a small strip of labelling that is adhered on to the cable in a groove. Problem is that the label comes off easily. So then you find yourself not knowing which colour is which.

In terms of quality, I can't really say how good… Read more
