4.0 out of 5 stars Howl's Moving Castle, March 27 2006
I really did like Howl's moving castle, but I wasn't as thrilled with it as I thought I would be. Having watched many of Hayao Miyazaki's films and Spirited Away being one of my favorite movies of all time, I must admit that, although Howl was possibly one of the most gorgeous anime characters I've ever seen (I really liked Sophie too),I was a little disappointed with the plot. 3.0 out of 5 stars Very funny, March 22 2006
Bartimaeus is oneof the funniest characters I've read in a while, although I cannot say that Nathaniel was a character I was overly attached to.
I liked the interactions between the two, but found the parts about Nathaniel sort of dragged on. However, it is definitelly worth the read for Bartimaeus. He's purely enjoyable, and I would read more of the books if only for him.
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
This book was brilliant.
The main character was brilliantly witty, and kept your interest throught the entire book.
I'm shocked that it hasn't gotten better reviews. This is one of the best books of this time period that I've ever read.
The characters are amazing. Beautifully described and full of real personality.
I cannot describe how gorgeously parts of this book are written. I was thrilled, and it will stick with you for long after you've finished it.
