2008 marks the 25th anniversary of "Local Hero," so when will we see a special collector's edition with all the bells and whistles this wonderful film deserves? Anyone know who we should petition?
I am thrilled that the series is finally coming out on disc - and at a very reasonable price to boot! "NewsRadio" wasn't a breakthrough comedy like "Seinfeld" or "The Larry Sanders Show," it was simply one of the funniest sitcoms ever made. The Paul Simms creation started as a smart workplace comedy, then - when numerous clones began cluttering up the prime time schedule - edged further and further into absurdist humor (much like Dave Nelson's beloved "Green Acres," which started off as a simple fish-out-of-water comedy and evolved into something quite surreal).
