Leona Lewis is known for her vocal abilities. But many criticize her for being just a singer and not a performer. Her tour, The Labyrinth, is solid proof that she is not a one trick pony. In this concert, she has transformed from the shy girl who won X Factor 4 years ago to a diva who can command the attention of a stadium filled with over 20,000 people, each and everyone mesmerized by her new found confidence. This concert is full of class. No crazy costumes, no big gimmicks, just a girl with the voice of an angel singing her heart out on stage. Yes, the moment has finally arrived. The most anticipated album of the year (for me) has surfaced. After 9 months of recording, Leona Lewis is ready to take on the world by storm again with her voice with her sophomore album ECHO. Her debut album SPIRIT sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide. With a feat like this, the pressure is definitely on for the songstress the second time around. From the demos that were leaked during summer, it is apparent that Leona wanted to do something different. With Spirit, the album was overwhelmed by big ballads and did not have enough edge for most young listeners today. In general, most criticized it for being very bland. I didn't even know about adele until the grammy awards this year. When I found out Leona Lewis lost to Adele in the Best Female Pop Vocal Category I was a bit mad but when Adele did her grammy preformance she made me a fan. None of the singers I liked before have a voice quite like hers. What made me a true fan is her performance on SNL, that made me go out and bought a copy of her album. She is one of the few singers who can actually sound better live than studio recordings. You can hear and feel the emotions she puts into a song.
