I've seen the movies, and I've read the book, and I have to say that movies (good though they may be) don't do this book justice.

I myself do not believe in the super-natural; this in this world are much less complicated than they most often appear to be. But what these people (George and Kathy Lutz) went through is as close to Hell as I could ever imagine going.

The Lutz family moves into a house in which they feel is going to set the stage for the rest of their lives, and give their 3 children a great place to grow up in and remember. Life of Pi is a fantastic tale of a young Indian boy who is lost at sea while he and his family are traveling to Canada to start a new life. Pi winds up inside a lifeboat with only a zebra, an orangutan, a spotted hyena and a full grown male bengal tiger. The story is a recap of Pi's amazing 200+ days at sea, and the mystifying relationship he deveoples with his animal companions.

Pi suffors through the unbelievable heat of the sun, the crushing rains of the sea and the blood thirsty ragings of his fellow cast-aways, but still comes out alive. The hyena manages to kill off both the zebra and the orangutan without much difficulty, but is then himself done in by the tiger named… Read more

Yorik, Ampersand, Dr. Mann and Agent 355 are on the move heading for Dr. Manns California to find the back-up research to Dr. Manns cloning project; her main lab having been destroyed by the secret agents from Israel. They board a freight train and set out across America, only to be ambushed by hobo-amazons who eventually force the 3 travelers to disembark (violently) and wind up in the middle of the Kansas plains. Here they find a group of women living in a small town with power, water and fresh food. Apparently these women have created a new paradise, where everyone works for the common good, and nobody wants for anythingwell, almost anything. Behind this peaceful and pristine… Read more
