I've made 10 different waffle batters since getting this iron a month ago. Regular, with fruit, chocolate, gluten-free, lactose-free, ... I followed some of the recipes in the book but find now that with 2 cups of flour + 2 cups of liquid I can get away with just 2 T of melted butter. The non-stick surface is really good and I've never had a problem with anything sticking. It's a very deep plate so makes about 3-4 waffles per batch. They freeze well and can be torn in half and reheated in a toaster.
