Was given one of these models as a gift in October 11, it quit taking a charge in less than 6 months. No receipt, so no warranty, checked with them and according to the serial number it was built more than 2 years ago. I do know it was purchased in Oct 11, but can't prove it. My woes with warranty aside, for a $200 toothbrush I would expect that it would last more than six months. Google Oral B charging problem and you will see there are a lot of them.

Even if it is more than 2 years, if it dies at 2 years 1 month, that is $100 per year on tooth brush expenses. My previous unit lasted more than 5.
