Compared to all the other Cynster Chillingworth was a child. The book did lack in story and character. Hardly any motivation, but I did happen to like Francesca. She was great. She saw what she wanted and fought for what she knew was there. She to me was more of a Cynster. And I agree with another reviewer who said that Chillingworth had no motive for not being able to love. A good read if you're looking for good love scenes, otherwise you might want to skip it and what for "The Promise in a Kiss."
