Word Smart Jr. II: More Straight "A" Vocabulary by Cynthia Brantley
5.0 out of 5 stars children need this book, July 21 2001
Along with the first book, this book has the best new-word learning assistance per time spent. The only other way is to read copiously and you how much time that would take. The stories are almost fairy-tale like but I loved them. This is a must have. I bought a dozen for all my junior relatives.

This author is obviously very well versed in alot of material as you know from everything he has written. He remarks that he will only use from acupuncture what is real and forget the hocus/pocus. I feel that Mr Chaitow highly underestimates the powers of acupuncture medicine. I am a western trained physician who has just trained in this ancient wonderful world of acupunture. There is no methodical or conceptual description for point selection, but a mere lists of points for pain in areas of the body. For headaches-points A,B & C. For backpain--points X,Y & Z, etc. I have no regrets in the purchase, but I like it only to supplement my other material.
Word Smart II : 700 More Words to Help Build an Ed&hellip by Adam Robinson

I hate memorizing lists of words and their respective definitions. Even though they have one or two sentences to show you how they are used. My favorite method is to read them in context. This will probably only be done by reading copiously. Reading the Princeton word (Junior) was fantastic. I wish they could make one like that, but at a higher level. The Junior book had great cute stories and the most amount of new word learning anyone can have from reading so little.
