These work as mentioned. I would prefer a little longer patch cord but I see it would be difficult. However, that said, it is handy on a cruise ship when you are working in small areas and need to plug in a few USB items to charge their systems.
I purchased a couple of 8gig cards late last winter and they have served me well so that is why I ordered two of these. However, 8 or 9 years ago I had a card fail me and ever since then, I backup my cards to my laptop EVERY NIGHT ~ PLUS I make another copy on another memory stick, portable drive or DVD+RW. Remember the rule; Grandfather, Father, Son ~ Use the card we will label Son, if it fails, try Father, if that fails, get the cards, your camera and computer checked - make a copy of your Grandfather file on a system you can trust and only use it if you are sure everything is working.
