I've read plenty on eating well. I think I had a solid understanding of nutrition but I caught Dr. Weil on a PBS special.You may have seen it also. Well I was impressed and decided to buy his new book. The book covers all aspects of nutrition. You will learn all the basics but Weil will also teach you some things you'll wish you knew earlier. Specifically he explains the differences in fats (some are very bad for you yes, but! some are very good for you),explains the idea of glycemic index of carbohydrates and talks aboutimportant vitamins and minerals and their food sources. The theme is preventative action! I'm buying this book for the relatives I really care about.
