I received this book for my birthday and that's how I spent my day. I read the entire book! It was fun - I laughed (out loud), I cried. What more could you ask from a book?
I received this book for Valentine's Day and I just finished reading it. That's okay my husband knows what I like. This book tells about one man's slow change into a farmer. He owns a restaurant in Seattle and he buys a "farm" on an island a ferry boat ride away. Basically, a move from the city to the country and become a farmer type of book. I like this kind of book and have read quite a few. Of course, because that's what I want to do in the near future. What makes this book different is the time period. I purchased this grammar textbook and the workbook for my seven year old who is just starting grade three work. I have been pretty slack with grammar up until now so I though it might be a bit difficult. Some things that the child should know by now are skimmed over but it doesn't assume that the child knows a lot about grammar. It looks very thorough with sentence diagramming, memorization, and of course the expected grammar rules and definitions. I hate to admit it but I'm learning things as well.
