Former lunatic that did everything at least once, never backed away from a challenge. Former competitive downhill ski racer with a backround in auto racing, skydiving, white-water rafting and other extreme adventures and sports. Retired young from a successful real estate career only to be 'taken out' by something as small as 'genes'. Several brain lesions are drawing an otherwise fun life to a premature close. Fun while it lasted and I haven't given up yet. I am from 'the west' and proud of it. I am under 40 and retired, but I miss work. Really! Enjoy your life and achieve 'balance', if you found out you were going to die next month, I doubt you would think 'gee...I wish I would have worked late more often.' Enjoy your life.

Dr. Alan Greenspan is a galatically brilliant man and an interesting character. Bob Woodward is an excellent journalist.
I just dont think that he was the right guy to write this book. It may sound harsh, but I dont think he is smart enough to understand Greenspan.
A good book but I doubt this will ever be considered the definitive biography on the subject.

As a big fan of the show, I was really excited to get a copy of this book. The moment I got it, I dove right in.
Whooops....
This book is AWFUL.
The book is poorly written and the writers received no assistance from editorial staff.
While I was not expecting a literary masterpeice, the awful writting gets in the way of the "story" being told.
If you are interested in the subject matter covered, or are a fan of the radio show, I recommend you get your hands on a copy and review it for yourself first.
I wish I had.
Big disappointment.

An enjoyable compilation of interesting stories. Each chapter is self contained, making this book ideal bathtub/bedtime reader. I was thouroughly entertained by this book. It is a quick and fun read. The bibliography and index lets you conduct any further investigations on those subjects that particularily interested you. Try it, you'll like it.
