5.0 out of 5 stars A memorable soundtrack, March 10 2004
A lot of the success of the feature film should be attributed to this soundtrack. It ends up more memorable than the film itself. A must have! Definitely filled with many great pieces.
The song list appears to be rather: this is not entirely the case. While there are many songs on this CD that are substantial, many are rather short. Often these short pieces would be cut from a soundtrack album: it is commendable that they were included, even considering their length.
Overall, a great purchase for fans of good music (even if they don't like sci-fi, or the movie). No sci-fi synth effects here!
Star Trek 5 Final Frontier ~ Jerry Goldsmith
Star Trek 5 Final Frontier ~ Jerry Goldsmith
After finally allowing myself to watch Star Trek V, I found myself watching the film again and again to listen to the great musical hook played throughout the movie, most notably in "The Mountain". The rest of the soundtrack, while not groundbreaking, serves to spice up the old tunes used before. It features a distinctive sound that differs from the rest of the series of films.
Stargate SG-1: Season 3 (Widescreen) (5 Discs) DVD ~ Richard Dean Anderson
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb season!, March 4 2004
There were very few episodes in this season I didn't like. A solid season with great storylines and acting. This season has great rewatching value - almost every episode excites time and time again. While I find myself skipping episodes in other seasons, I don't see that happening much in this season. Back to back great episodes!
