First of all, AWESOME AMAZING ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT GRAPHICS. Get my point? Back in the FFX days, the gameplay graphics were very rough... and sometimes, the character's hand or foot, sometimes even half the body, would get "stuck" within a cliff, mountain, tree, whatever... and you'd go... O_o

But there's none of that in FFXII. The gameplay graphics are amazing. They're almost up to bat with the cutscene graphics, which is saying something. The character designs are pretty different from before, too, but they're not bad. They're very... European?

My first Final Fantasy experience was with the 8th. I was in grade 2, and I was watching a guy play it during a church meeting at someone's house. I vividly remember Shiva on the screen, and the stunning cutscenes with Rinoa and Squall. I remembering thinking that, "This looks SO REAL!"

I had the chance to play it for a bit after I found out that a guy friend of mine had it. I borrowed it and ran it in my PS2, excited to relieve a childhood game.

Of course, I was disappointed at how bad the graphics were. (But to be fair, this game IS old, and it was for the first PS... AND I've played Final Fantasy X and XII, both with STUNNING visuals) And the music... urg. (sounded… Read more
Final Fantasy X - PlayStation 2 by Square Enix
Square Enix continues to awe us with their movie-worthy plotlines, stunning visuals and realistic characters.

The first of the series to be released on PS2, it's no surprise that Final Fantasy X became such a popular hit. With a better platform system than the Playstation, the gamemakers were able to go further with their signature photo-realistic CGIs. The cutscenes were breathtakingly beautiful, and even the gameplay graphics weren't too shabby. (although by FFXII, the gameplay graphics are cleaned up almost entirely)
