Fix: The Ministry Movie [Import]

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth the Wait, May 6 2012
After hearing about this 2 years ago, I was psyched to watch a Ministry biography. It finally came out this spring, and after pre-ordering and watching this movie immediately after receiving it, I must say I was somewhat disappointed. Some of the back stage footage was previously available on the Sphinctour Live Concert DVD,(which is highly recommended, btw) which isn't cool. This movie does not attempt to chronicle Al Jourgensen's life, nor does it tell the story of Ministry. For the most part, it is back stage footage, as well as some decent interview scenes from the likes of Trent Reznor, Lemmy and a somewhat (extremely) disturbed Jesus Lizard front man David Yow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Film of '85, Oct 2 2006
Brazil is a masterpiece of cinematic brilliance, and arguably Terry Gilliam's best film. I loved this movie when I first saw it in 1985 and still do today, having just purchased the newly released 3 disc HD Criterion edition. This is one of the best sci-fi's ever shot, reminiscent of 1984 but with a comedic slant. The visuals are fantastic and bizarre, thus the oscar for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration. Terry and company also won for best screenplay. This movie is one of a kind, though that can be said for most of Gilliam's work. The plot follows one Sam Lowry, a government employee, through his quest to find justice for a man wrongly accused of a crime due to a typographical error on a… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Enter Lombardo, Aug 16 2006
This is hands down the best Slayer offering since Lombardo left. A very strong effort, some fast ones too. Only a couple weak tracks, unlike God Hates Us All, which was mostly weak. I'm giving it a 5 not because it's as good as Reign In Blood, but because for this day and age, it's awesome! The best album released this year, it blows away Tool's 10,000 Days, which was very disappointing. Dave was sorrily missed while he was away. Long Live Slayer!
