This is an interesting book for those who enjoy researching and reading automotive trivia and road tests. For the VW Bus fanatic, this book is great. It has some very well written road tests interspersed with a small amount of "filler" material. The book on the whole has a very international flavour to it; many of the road tests are from South Africa and Europe, with perhaps 40% of the material originating from the States. That may be a turn-off for some, considering that the international specifications and results are stated in metric units. But it's the international road tests (particularly the South Afican ones) which are top quality.
