Doctor Sleep: A Novel (The Shining) by Stephen King
4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, July 25 2014
I am a huge Stephen King fan, and The Shining is my favorite book by him. When I heard there was going to be a sequel, I jumped at the chance to read it. I was not disappointed.

The story itself was very imaginative. I liked the direction that King took continuing on with the character Danny. The story kept me turning pages all the way to the end.
Death of a Country Fried Redneck (A Hayley Powell &hellip by Lee Hollis

I simply could not get into this book. I don't know what it was about Hayley that annoyed me so much, but I did not like her. I think a lot of her dialogue was supposed to be witty and funny. Instead it came across as being immature. I got about halfway through and gave up.
A Place for Family by Mia Ross

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Much Story, July 1 2014
The plot was very basic. It's a simple friends to lovers story. If you're a fab of inspie and small-town life this book would probably appeal to you. My only complain is that Amanda seemed very weak to me. I wish she was stronger. All in all it's a decent enough read.
