Amy Bento: Hi-Lo Dome Challenge [Import] DVD ~ Amy Bento
I tend to like Amy though I have't always loved her stuff. I do love her Hi/Lo Extreme DVD and was hoping this would be as good and offer me a different set of choreography to avoid getting bored. This is good cardio but I don't LOVE it--the choreography was better (and more intense) in Hi/Lo Extreme. If you're looking for intermediate to high intermediate cardio, try this. For a bit more fun and a bit more of a challenge, try her Hi/Lo Extreme video. This is a quiet and calm workout but doesn't really do anything except relax you. If you are interested in calming down to ease anxiety or stress, try it. If you actually want to strengthen your body through yoga, skip it. It is definitely for beginners but as an introduction to yoga it is sorely lacking. If you are new to yoga, try Karen Voight, Seane Corn, or even Yoga Journal's stuff.

It has a long sequence that builds strength and heat, and a nice collection of balancing poses (which tend to be neglected to a great extent in yoga DVDs), as well as all the floor essentials. What I really liked about this DVD, aside from it being really well-planned and well-paced, is that it really challenged me without moves I just couldn't attempt (like headstands). All the moves are totally do-able for anybody who has any yoga basics--they are… Read more
