Lego Lord Of The Rings by Warner Bros
2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointingly buggy, Dec 15 2012
I like Lego and Lord of the Rings, so this should have been a fun purchase. And it is, when it works. Sadly, there are too many times when the controls lock, the screen freezes, and the speakers emit an irritating buzz. Doesn't happen with any other Wii games I have, so I'm assuming it's a problem with this one.

Pluses: Big world to explore. Lots of different things to do at each location. Time passes, cycling from day to night, and the scenery changes to match.

Minuses: Dark locations are too dark to easily spot items and clues. Game is buggy and freezes, losing all progress.
Bhutan Heartland: Travels in the Land of the Thund&hellip by Libby Lloyd
Lucid text and stunning photographs turn what might have been an ordinary travelogue into a magical journey of exploration. Heartily recommended.

The worked examples at the end are a bit useful, if you want to replicate the particular looks they use. Unfortunately there aren't many.

The history of Nik Software is mildly interesting, but has no relevance to… Read more
