General Requirements
  • All unbranded jewellery products must be listed on separate seller-created detail pages. Matching to existing selections is not allowed in the Jewellery category other than branded designer jewellery and jewellery accessories that include manufacturer UPC codes.
  • Jewellery products from major brands must be listed using the manufacturer's UPC code. Learn more about Adding UPCs for Your Products.
  • Listing of items priced over CDN$ 125K is not allowed in the Jewellery category.
  • Sellers must provide product images from an independent website or an image hosting site, or as attachments.
  • When applying for approval to sell in the Jewellery category, sellers must provide at least 25 high-quality images, each for a unique item, and all images must meet Jewellery-specific image standards.
  • Effective immediately, all new listings in the Jewellery category must meet the following criteria:
  • Listing of items priced over CDN$ 125K is not allowed in the Jewellery category.
    1. Rings and pendants with a white diamond stone weight of  carat (0.75 carat) or larger and a colour range of D-I will be required to have a certificate. Coloured diamonds and gemstones will not require a certificate at this time.
    2. Earrings with a white diamond total diamond weight of  carat (0.75 carat) or larger and a colour range of D-I will be required to have a certificate. Coloured diamonds and gemstones will not require a certificate at this time.
    3. Certificates are accepted from the following sources only: GIA, IGI, and AGS. Diamonds less than  carat (0.75 carat) including all coloured diamonds offering diamond certifications, diamond certificates of authenticity, or diamond appraisals must be from one of the following three certification houses: GIA, IGI, and AGS.
    4. Amazon follows the international grading standards as instituted by the GIA; this applies to all product titles, product descriptions, and product specifications.
  • The Jewellery category no longer allows the sale of clarity-enhanced white diamonds or glass filled rubies. Listings for enhanced colour stones must contain stone creation, stone treatment and stone care method

    • We make a distinction between Fine and Fashion Jewellery based on metal type and the amount of data required to submit a product offer. For example, a stainless steel ring will not be allowed into the fine ring product category.
    • When selling fine diamond products, sellers must disclose cut, colour, clarity, carat weight, stone shape, setting type, stone treatment method, stone creation method, and some product specific information (e.g. dimensions, ring sizes, etc).
    • When selling fine gemstones, sellers must provide total gem weight, stone shape, setting type, stone treatment method, stone creation method, and some product specific information (e.g. dimensions, ring sizes, etc).
    • When selling fine pearl items, sellers must disclose pearl type, pearl minimum colour, pearl shape, pearl lustre, pearl uniformity, pearl blemishes, size per pearl, number of pearls, setting type, and some product specific information (e.g. dimensions, ring sizes, etc).
  • All product images must meet Amazon site-wide image standards as well as Jewellery-specific standards.
    • Sellers must certify that they have reviewed the image guidelines published in Seller Central and that all images they upload will conform to the guidelines.

Amazon limits the addition of new sellers in the Sports Collectibles Store to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on Amazon.ca. The requirements for selling in the Sports Collectibles Store reflect customer concern for product quality and consumer trust.

You must meet the requirements listed below to sell products in the Sports Collectibles Store.   • Seller must sell on Amazon using a Professional Selling Account.
  • Seller must provide us with acceptable documentation and other information we request about the products you intend to sell.  After you request approval to sell in the Grocery & Gourmet Food category, we will contact you with additional information.
  • All Grocery & Gourmet Food products must be new. We do not allow any used products.
Health & Personal Care close
  • Seller must sell on Amazon using a Professional Selling Account.

Luggage close

UPC Exemptions:

Variations
  • Clothing items that come in multiple sizes or colors must be set up in a variation relationship. If you are only carrying one size, you are still required to create a variation with a parent SKU and list the buyable item on a child SKU.

Image Requirements:

Images have a direct impact on a customer's purchasing decision. Adding accurate, high-quality product images is an effective way for you to increase customer confidence and improve your sales. All product listings must meet Amazon site-wide image standards. Sellers must review the image guidelines below, and all images they upload must conform to these guidelines:

Minimum image requirements for listing products in the Amazon Luggage Store:

  • Background must be pure white, with a high quality image that truly represents the product being sold
  • Images uploaded must be at least 1001px on the longest side with an aspect ratio of 190px:246px
  • The product should make up 85% of the image frame and only depict the actual product to be purchased
  • Main images should be provided for both parent and child SKUs
  • All color variations must include a child SKU main image representative of that specific color and size
  • Product must be shot flat or on a model
  • Main images must be of the front of the product and, if on a model, the model should be standing
  • Main image must match the gender of the department where the product is listed (i.e., female image for womens products and male image for mens products)
  • Images must be appropriate for all ages

Prohibited images in the Amazon Luggage Store:

  • Colored backgrounds or lifestyle pictures
  • Product images on a mannequin
  • Borders, watermarks, text, logo, color blocks, or other decorations
  • Brand tags or packaging in any of the images
  • Sketches or drawings of the product
  • Main images of the back of the product
  • Main image with model sitting or lying down
  • Main image with a duplicate or twin alternate pose
  • Stacks of products or images containing multiple products
  • Other products, items, or accessories that are not part of the product listing
  • Image place holders, such as, "temporary image" or "no image available"
