Good for the whole family, Jan 5 2008
Amusant:5.0 étoiles sur 5
This is one that my 6 year old, through teenagers to Dad can play and all have a great time. It is simple enough for a youngster to be able to play and win yet has enough intrique and complexity through power ups and ways of scoring and managing your team (with specialists) that everyone stays interested. Highly recommended!

Must have reference, Jan 5 2008
For anyone interested in animal symbols this is the tried and true reference. I was introduced to it by a Healer in Sedona and was not disappointed. It is one you will find yourself turning to time and time again.

Too Simplistic, Jan 5 2008
Unlike the other reviewers I had a hard time with this book. I found it to be quite repetitive and simplistic. Many people who are intuitive and directed to further their knowledge and connection would definitely need something that has more substance to it and is more in depth. Much of what she writes in here we all know already - intuitively. For those who are interested in becoming more connected - spiritually, energy wise - there are far better choices out there. It is however a quick read (due to simplicity) and you main gain one or two insights from it.

Koontz does it again!, Jan 5 2008
Another page turner - one you won't want to put down. Koontz is able to throw us twists that you don't see coming and keep you on the edge. A great read and great entertainment. The characters are well developed and he makes every turn believable. This is one to get!

AMAZING!, Feb 17 2002
I gave myself this cookbook for Christmas....I couldn't resist. The book is sheer poetry with wonderful full colour photos of dishes. Feenie divides the book up into the following sections: Spring, Summer, Autumnn, Winter, and Basics. Under each he provides you with three different menus to choose from: Vegetarian, Seafood, and Signature. The recipes are broken up as follows: about the recipe, to prepare, to assemble, and wine. He offers many tips throughout and his various musings on food which are a delight to read. You just have to read Feenie's introduction to get a feel for this amazing book. He starts off saying, "Five years ago I opened Lumiere because I had something to say. For me, food is conversation. Why and what I cook are my passions and beliefs, shared with anyone who cares to listen. Growing up, I listened to my mother's food and heard it tell me how much she cared. It was a language I wanted to speak....." and he continues to speak to us throughout this wonderful book. This is now my favorite cookbook of all time and makes me proud to be Canadian!

WHAT A JOKE!, Jan 25 2002
I cannot believe that people actually have recommended this book! I am currently doing research into babies and sleep and had been told about this book by a friend who had a few friends who had tried it and liked it. Wow. I could not believe my eyes when I flipped to one of the routine pages. She has everthing laid out to the minute...Heaven forbid if your baby should fuss in the evening and put you behind by 15 minutes...and research does show us that the early evening tends to be when a baby is the fussiest. I do believe that routines are beneficial to babies but this is just way too overdone and ridiculous in this book! I have no doubt this book worked for some people, I have a feeling any book may have worked for them as they may have babies who are what we call "self-soothers". The author has the gaul in her introduction to comment that the other literature out there ( which goes against many of her ideas) is based on reasearch and studies and medical information as opposed to her opinions and experience which we should feel is far superior. She claims that doctors can tell youi to feed on demand as they don't have to be at work by 9 a.m. and can sleep when they need to apparently. Hmmmmm....as a doctor I wish I could have a day that started at 9 a.m.!! There are proven medical reasons why breastfeeding on demand is best, these aren't theories. The job is to figure out if your baby is actually hungry, needs attention, or something else. Babies also experience growth spurts where they will cluster feed for a day or so...this is to increase your milk supply for their growth...this book doesn't account for that at all. Some babies will also "cluster" before bed as a way to "stock-up" so that they will sleep better. This book does not account for that FACT either. Another fact is that every baby is an individual, each parent is an individual, we are all different.Applying such a blanket, unforgiving rountine on us is not healthy and just sets one up for failure or frustration over why it isn't working. This book throws what we know as fact out the window and just gives her strict routine. If I had followed this with my newborn I would never have seen the light of day! Instead we were able to go to movies, out for dinner, go hiking, spend time with family....and my baby is a "contented baby".

Great Right From The Start, Jan 13 2002
I have been reading this book to my son since birth every night. He loves it. He is now 4 months old and loves to help turn the sturdy board book pages. The different noises that Mr. Brown makes are very intriging to babies and it gives them something to try to imitate. He also likes looking at the colorful illustrations in this book. It is one that we will be reading/reciting for years!

I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT!, Jan 12 2002
This is an absolutely amazing CD. When I first heard the single "Only Time" I was blown away by it's beauty. It is mystical. I play this CD while I am reading, quilting, writing, anything that I want to relax doing. This was one of the CDs we played during child birth....I wanted it to be a part of the experience, absolutely amazing.

Mystical and beautiful, Jan 12 2002
I absolutely love this CD. I bought it when it first came out but it is still one of my favorites. The music is so relaxing and moving. Whenever I hear it it calls out to me to grab a good book and a cup of coffee and go snuggle up in a big cozy chair. That is quite amazing actually when you consider that we also played this CD during the birth of my first child! It is just that amazing.

A good read, Jan 12 2002
This novel is very well written. The protagonist, Jo, seems to have everything in life: a loving husband, beautiful children, a good job..... Yet, she doesn't seem happy. This book takes us through a time in her past that is revisited when she runs into an old roommate. A time of her life that she has tried to leave behind and not deal with. Jo doesn't even confide in her husband who is a minister, and at times he seems "too good to be true".It is a book of self-revelation. A journey for Jo that we, as the reader, are propelled into. This was one of those books that I found hard to put down.
