janet. That's saying a mouthful right there. Her videos from Control and Rhythm Nation are her best work. This particular video is very interesting because of the story line interwoven therein. It does not seem overstated, preachy, or judgemental...but still has a serious message. A high point of this video is the chair routine at the end of "Miss You Much" that MTV, BET, and VH1 never show. You will love this video...and you will love the behind-the-scenes portion as well.

I ordered this album about three weeks ago; but Amazon.com is having a tough time getting it to me. But I already know this CD will be OFF THE HOOK! Boy George and his Club of Culture recorded some of the most innovative and singable (is that a word) and danceable tracks in the 80's. Their songs were fresh and original. I swear to you young people; if you like the pop that's playing on the radio now, you will adore Culture Club. Cuts like Karma Chameleon, Mistake #3, Do You Really Want to Hurt Me and Church of the Poison Mind reverberate in my head and sound just as good as they did when they were all Top 10 songs. When talking retro, Culture Club is one of the most underrated groups around; but trust me...do yourself a favor and pick up this import! Amazon.com is selling it cheap; but it is worth three times as much as what they're asking! And I say that even before hearing the album. Pick it up...you won't be sorry.

John Grisham is by far my favorite author; but this last effort left me cold. Never once did I feel the main characters were in any danger; which is one of the feelings a suspense novel should create in a reader. The story was different but dull. I am hoping that Grisham will return to writing that makes one want to reccommend or lend the book to others. Two of my Grisham novels are lost because I lent them out. Three of them are ragged because I've read them each three times. But I will always know where "The Brethren" is; and it will always look brand new. I think Mr. Grisham must have cranked this one out in four days or less.

This book was much better than I expected it to be! The author writes with the savvy of an experienced writer. The action was riveting; though there was a tiny bit more profanity than I'm used to...but at the same time this added to the realism of the story. The plot went thru twists and turns that made you feel like you were on a roller coaster ride; and the suspense was just as fast. I hope we get to see more adventures of Nick Merchant and Alex Moreno. This book would make one heckuva blockbuster movie. You don't want to miss this book!
