I had been waiting to get this CD for a couple of months when I read in the local paper that Peter Criss was putting out a new disc. Alas, when I put it on my stereo I was heavily dissappointed. I knew that it would not be anything like what he did with KISS (and trust me, it isn't anywhere close!!), but with basically no upbeat songs of any type it literally put me to sleep!! His earlier solo offerings are much, much better in my opinion....

Unless you are a big KISS fan, or Peter Criss fan, I do not recommend buying this CD. I only bought it because of this fact, but even then I doubt I'll ever listen to it again. At least not anytime soon.

In short, it was a total waste of money. Rating it with one star is being really generous here.

This is one album that seems to provoke lots of debate within the KISS Army. I have to say that this is the first album of theirs I owned, and every time I listen to it I am transported back to days of innocence. Back in 1987 I was unaware of the problems that led to the initial break-up of the band (I was 14 and just getting into hard rock/metal), but to me they were mythological giants like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. My grandmother bought it for me when she took me shopping one day and I listened to it non-stop the rest of the week. As the years went by and I learned more about "KISStory", I was able to put the album into more perspective. True it isn't as heavy and raw as their earlier albums, but there is far more input from all four members as a unit. Ace really came into his own here with "Save Your Love", it did not sound as forced as "Shock Me" did on Love Gun. Even though Peter sang just one track, overall it's a more balanced CD than anything that came out after. Unfortunately it would turn into the Paul & Gene show after this (Ace's three songs on Unmasked notwithstanding). You have to admit, "I Was Made For Loving You" is a great tune. Maybe nostalgia influenced me to give this a 4-star rating, but I still think that is a great CD. Feel free to disagree if you wish............

This video is done in true NFL Films style. A look back on the year when the Jets came back from the dead under Bill Parcells' coaching genius. The only thing lacking is hilites from every game of the 1997 season, but overall it's a very good tape.

This is an okay album, with Paul Stanley singing 7 out of the 11 songs on it. Bruce Kulick does a pretty good job on No No No (giving Eddie Van Halen a run for his money in the speed department) but sacrifices feeling for technique in my opinion. The mix isn't the greatest, there's not enough bass to blend with the guitar and drums. Was Gene Simmons even playing on here, or did he just show up to sing his 4 songs? We all know he did play, it's just not there sonically. Eric Carr did a good job with this, proving again that he is a better drummer than Peter Criss. This album is symptomatic of the corresponding period in KISStory, with Paul being the main reason the band was even around. Not the best album, but not their worst either.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Elvis on the council????, Aug. 27 2005
I originally rented this game out of curiosity, and quickly got hooked! Ended up buying it because a 3-day rental isn't enough time to win here. The gameplay can take a while (depending on level chosen) but if you are looking to get your mind off the everyday routine for a couple of hours, this is a game that delivers. There are 21 different civilizations to choose from (Romans, Greeks, Mongols, Zulus etc.) that have no superiority over any others initially. After setting your tribal preferences you start off in the year 4000 B.C. with one settler unit and 0 gold pieces. How successful your tribe is depends largely on the site you choose for you first city and the development of the resources around it. Send out more units to explore the surrounding area and build more cities, and repeat. Every so often you will get the opportunity to meet with your "high council", who inform you how you are doing. One of the advisors is an Elvis impersonator who had me cracking up with laughter many times with his insights on citizens' happiness levels. Not to mention the satisfaction of attacking any other civilization that ticked me off at times. Definitely a game anyone into strategy games should own.
