4.0 étoiles sur 5 Complicated to set up and not enough memory to store 2 maps concurrently, Sept. 8 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am taking a holiday in Europe and was fed up paying $22/ day for gps rental so I decided to buy this product. THe cost of the Europe map in addition to the North America map it came with was $105 which was a bit steep but then I discovered that the device cant store both maps at once. Changing them over takes about 1 hour and is fiddley. In terms of using it I find it is straightforward to use but the voice commands system does work with my voice. I haven't tried the alternative routing system around traffic yet.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 Confused morality, July 8 2010
It is historical fact that the Communist Dictatorship of Ethiopia was a disaster for that country leaving it devastated. The author sounds like she didn't understand that socialism is the evil here and the novel, which is well written and sustains your interest fails as it, like the family at the centre of the story doesn't have a coherent philosophy of life that they believe in enough to defend, perhaps it is a brilliant description of why the educated people of Ethiopia just meekly gave themselves over to the communist Derg. Sadly self-immolation isn't pretty. In the end one is left with a very disappointing ending.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Well written revealing a nasty person, July 8 2010
This review is from: Hitch-22: A Memoir (Hardcover)
I had read "God is not Great" by this author and have read magazine articles by him and have watched this man on TV doing interviews. He is obviously an academically clever man, although he seems to have little commonsense.
He details his self-righteous distain for anyone who disagrees with him and magically fails to take any responsibility for his own long list of pathetically wrong political judgments.
He drops the names of many very accomplished people with poisonous remarks suggesting his insincere pleasantry to them before trashing them behind their backs. He details what a sychophant he was buttering up various rich people at university especially the champagne socialist rich. He details his grovelling visits to Fidel Castro's Cuba and Hugo Chaves' Venezuela.
This book is a gripping picture of what a British intellectual prig is like.
It is not often a memoir reveals what a thoroughly nasty person has written it.
