Did not receive item, Jan 2 2012
I am very disappointed as I have not received this item as yet. This item was to be a Christmas gift for my wife and was ordered on December 1, 2011, and was to arrive December 11. Then I was later notified that the delivery date had changed to December 20. On December 22 I contacted the distributor in Montreal and was advised that it had been shipped on December 2 from Montreal and had arrived in Winnipeg on Dec. 11. It was not possible to track this package as I was not given a tracking number. The distributor I spoke to advised that he would ship a replacement. This was on December 23, and I have not received it as of yet and it is now January 2. I do understand that there have been days when there have been no deliveries due to the Christmas holiday. If the package arrives this week that would be great. Again, I have not been given a tracking number. I will accept this package if it arrives, however, I did pay for it in good faith when I purchased it on December 1. Therefore, I would expect a marginal credit as well as keeping the package if it arrives, for the inconvenience and lack of time it would have taken to get to me. For your information, the distributor was Canadian Shoppe. I notified them by email on 2 occasions, and Amazon would have also received by concerns and comments.
