This is a wonderful book, full of excellent tips to help us be more godly wives. I highly recommend it. I had to take some of the "word for word" phrases she suggested with a grain of salt. But the concept of giving of yourself and putting your trust in the Lord is excellent. It's a powerful resourse for learning how to truly be submissive and to build your husband up in Christ. Best of all, there is a companion book for husbands, called "The Exemplary Husband". When both husband and wife seek to serve God first in thier lives, a beautiful, strong marriage is the result.

A wonderful book! Very entertaining, creative, and informative. The author did a great deal of research about the time of Noah, added a little creative license, and painted a fascinating portrait of the times. Issues such as giants, Greek Mythology, and fallen angels play a part. Even with the interesting artistic license taken, the true story of God's glory is never compromised. I highly recommend this book.

This is a beautifully written book. I was nearly brought to tears by the end of each chapter. MacArthur clearly spent considerable time and effort delving into the vast glory of God that shone in these women's lives. I was deeply moved by this little book, and I highly recommend it to women everywhere.

As usual, MacArthur discusses details, references, proper translation of the original Biblical text, as well as cultural background to provide a richer understanding of each woman's story. His attention to detail reveals a multitude of treasures that would potentially be missed by someone who did not dig deeper into the Scriptural text.
