When an event like this occurs, I'm the kind of person who wants to know absolutely everything about it. This book practically put me at scene right there with Eric Harris & Dylan Klebold. Being a psychology student, the best part of the book, I thought, was delving into the childhoods of Eric & Dylan as well as learning about the families. The author wasen't some random person but a student from Columbine who knew Dylan & Eric personally. No punches are pulled here - Just facts. There was nothing about this book that I disliked - fantastic!

This book is not strictly for folks who have self-injury related issues & may want insight into their disorder. I saw this piece as more of a tool for people who are curious & don't know much about self-harm & body modification. This book can be somewhat graphic in detail so if you're a bit on the sqeamish side you may want to pass.
Welcome to the Dollhouse was a touching film and the main character was so easy to relate to! As a girl who was relentlessly teased growing up I can completely relate to Heather Matarazzo's character. Her courage and spirit are fantastic and her way of dealing with her family, classmates, and her everyday life is remarkable. A funny, quick-witted movie for anyone who is currently in, or survived adolescence.
I actually met Ms. Miller at a convention in Albany, NY this past year. She is a very compassionate woman & extremely knowledgeable on this subject. This book is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to brush up on the subject of self-injury in women.
This book was a nicely written account about young woman dealing with her cutting. I liked the fact that this book read more like a novel and less like a textbook. The main character was very human in her thinking and behavior...she seemed real. Although this was a quick read it gave good insight into what it's like to live with self-injury.
