For anyone looking for an overview of the process of designing, this book is a good guidebook to get you started. There's also lots of examples of previous and colorful work to provide inspiration. A must-have for beginner designers.

Holiday in Handcuffs
I'm a big fan of Melissa Joan Hart and I enjoyed watching her character grow in this movie. I think a lot of people will be able to identify with her character, a single woman conflicted with trying to please her parents and follow her own dreams. Kidnapping a gorgeous guy to be her date for her family x-mas party is somewhat of an original plot. Anyone from Calgary will be pleased to know this film was actually filmed in the summer of 2007 in Calgary, Alberta. Sweet, comedic movie. A great Christmas romance!

Snowglobe
This movie is cute as well. It goes back and forth between the real world of New York and a sort of Christmas world inside the snowglobe. Anyone who likes fantasy/make-believe will appreciate this. I enjoyed seeing the sets of the Christmas village. It's very Christmas-y! ^_^

I am a visual learner so naturally, I love the Teach Yourself Visually Series! I hate lengthy explanations and prefer these step-by-step screen captures that give just enough explanation on how to do it. The book is organized well, and it's a great reference book. It's always easy to look up what I need.

I should have gone into a Chapters or an Indigo bookstore and flipped through this book first before ordering it on Amazon. It looked so colorful and pretty on the cover but it's nothing like the Teach Yourself Visually Series. I was expecting lots of pictures with little explanation and I got the exact opposite, lots of explanation, less pictures. I do not recommend this for visual learners even though the cover suggests otherwise. I gave my copy away.

Snow
This movie plot is quite original I think. Santa's son embarking on his first x-mas mission and his first challenge is to rescue his reindeer taken by the local zoo. There are so many comedic moments and Tom Cavanagh is a great actor, so great that he had me believe he was his character: sort of bumbly, stumbly, awkward nice guy who is clueless around girls. Great x-mas movie! Lots of laughs. Romance. Magic.

Snow 2
I didn't like this one as much as the first one but it does expand a little bit more about the magic of Santa Claus. I enjoyed seeing the characters again in this sequel but it's not as comedic as the first one. Still, not bad a for two-for-one movie deal.

I love watching romantic movies but this one fell a bit flat...no chemistry between the characters, the plot was okay, just wasn't moved at all by this movie. If you're just looking for a typical Christmas movie, this one is just okay.

I haven't seen Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus yet but A Boyfriend for Christmas was truly heartwarming. I watched it over and over again. The characters have good chemistry together. The plot was really cute. Patrick Muldoon used to play Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives, so for those fans, this is a real treat! He's really good looking and he's got a sexy voice. This story almost felt believable, enough to make romantics like me wish it were possible to ask Santa to give me a boyfriend for Christmas!
