Jenny Lawson, the Bloggess, is no stranger to writing. Her website, TheBloggess.com receives between 2-3 million hits per month. Many of her regular readers, including Wil Wheaton, Neil Gaiman, and Felicia Day have been excitedly waiting for this book to finally be published. It's been over 10 years in the making, and it was worth the wait. It's Mostly (90%) True and tells of growing up a taxidermist father, who enjoys having animals, both dead and alive, around the house. Lawson grew up thinking this, and the assorted adventures of sharing space with these creatures was normal. Not many of us can claim to have woken up to our father using a dead squirrel in a Ritz box as a hand puppet. We also learn how Jenny met her now-husband Victor and other adventures from their marriage.
This was a wonderful that tells how The Bloggess grew up and how she deals with (and maybe have helped develop) her social anxiety problems. It has its serious moments, but be careful of reading this in a quiet public place, as you will not be able to contain your laughter for the rest of the book.
