What Kind Of Fool Am I?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please...nobody answer this rhetorical question. It is just my Humble Stance. Being that I missed what would seem to have been my final chance to ever see this blast from my past, I took it upon myself to order the Worlds Apart revisited Live DVD. OMG, I can't believe how much these guys have matured both physically and musically. It is so nice to See Them Smile again. Ice Nice thing about Michael Sadler and his choice of Octave (capitalized because it is my late Grandfathers first name), he hasn't lost anything over the last 24 years since I last paid attention to them. How Long it seems now (must have been Amnesia). Sadler took his own advice. Be Careful Where You Step, he said. Boy oh boy it would have been nice to have been On The Loose in Switzerland on Dec. 8 2005 when this fine recording was made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this spectacular progressive rock ensemble. If anyone reading this feels like they missed out on most of the career of this brilliant band, you're not, you're not, You're Not Alone! I too feel like a total muldoon (1). Well, Times Up...I gotta stop writing this review now. As my momma said about her boy..."don't Wind Him Up...once he gets started blah blah blah blah effin' blah". Don't Be Late. Run out to the store and Give Them The Money for this great 2 DVD set. I'm certain, like me, you will have No Regrets. I'm really just Scratching The Surface with this review.

Keep It Reel.

Sincerely,
The Pitchman.

Styx is back!!!!!!! And this ain't no lounge act. (Sorry Gowan JY TS). This album takes us back to the Grand Illusion/Pieces/Paradise era of Styx. This is an amazing comeback album. Dennis has not lost one bit of his songwriting/musicianship/vocal ability (at 60 years old)!!!. Keep in mind Styx completely lost me at the Cornerstone 28 years(?) ago and DDY lost me after Desert Moon in 1983. (I hated them all equally so please no flaming). Dennis has reclaimed the Styx crown with this one and won me back as a fan. Only one weak moment of the 11 tracks. The beginning of I Believe In You is not my cup o'tea - kinda weak Chicago/Cetera tea variety - I almost didn't make it to the first chorus but had patience and was handsomely rewarded...and the finish is among the best finishes I've ever heard....period....you had me fooled Dennis (nice piano). Maybe the "Pretend" Styx band will listen to this and write a decent album to compete with this (nice covers album last time Big Bang Theory --- nothing you couldn't hear on any Saturday night in any local watering hole --- c'mon boys put out a real album if you've got the guts). We all know what JYoung, Tommy and Gowan are capable of.
This is Grammy Award Triple Platinum in the USA material. Get my drift? Buy this album now!!!!! I didn't think I would have to wait until middle age for this album, but it was worth it.

Just bought the double disc version of this.....completely blown away... Bowie and Gilmour doing Arnold Layne & Comfortably Numb...worth it for these two alone...the rest is all just the icing on the cake...get this one now. Worth Every penny....and I haven't even looked at Disc 2 yet.
