Very repetitive. Let me boil it down for you. Stuff yourself with fruits and veggies, eschew all animal products. I just saved you 10 bucks!

Update: One of the main reasons I purchased the digital version was the promised extra content in video etc. I have not been able to read this digital version on my desk top PC with the Kindle app, my Galaxy S4 android, nope! Not my Galaxy Tab 2 either, won't open on Kindle Cloud either!...only on my black and white kindle with no sound or video! I may has well just tossed my $ into the abyss! I recently got a Tab E and I can't even try it on that because I receive a message saying I have exceeded the license with number of apps I've installed it on trying to access the content!!!!

I have the hard copy of this book and found it difficult to plow through all the preaching and examples, so I thought by purchasing the ABRIDGED version we could get straight to the 'meat' of the matter. Alas it is not to be... this book could have been condensed in HALF and there would still be too much redundant information! As a result I'm still endeavoring to finish reading the book.

I felt quite offended by some of the authors comments regarding those who eat meat - specifically 'we'd believe the world is flat if it served our addiction to meat' and the comment "the addicted cult members dragging themselves to physicians demanding drugs'. Its one thing to promote a largely vegetarian diet its quite another to be insulting and demeaning to those who consume an omnivorous diet. I did not purchase both hard copy and digital version to be insulted by the author.

Curious to know does the doctor explain traditional diet of the Inuit, Laplander and other northern races where vegetables are scarce to none? Those people are not aging prematurely, demented nor suffer needless medical issues at least not until we brought our processed food diet to them..

The video content did not play on my Kindle, nor my desktop/Win7/64 with Quicktime which plays Apple content. More surprising is the book cannot be viewed in Amazon Cloud reader!

I purchased this book and the cookbook in an effort to eat healthier. Although I see the reasoning behind it, I found it very difficult to follow. I eat healthy to begin with but a book that touts itself as not a "diet" book, it lays out strict calorie restriction. Furthermore, it turns everything I knew about food on it's head. Olive oil is bad for you? Yogurt is too? I tried some of the recipes and they were bland and unappealing. After 3 days of eating large salads twice a day, I gave up. Life is too short to be eating cashew butter salad dressing.

Got it and wife really did not like it. It was not what she expected. Not really a diet book apartently

I found the information in this book good BUT the beginning diet plan would not be something I could follow so as a result did not find it useful as a way to kick start any diet plan I might be doing.

Will you loose weight if you follow his plan? No way not to. Can you stay on it for longer than a couple of months? Only if you have a will of iron. This is Nathan Pritikin/Dean Ornish in a new package. The author cites studies to back up his position but totally ignores information from those same studies that undermine his no saturated fat and animal protein hypothesis. I think we are all confused about what to eat these days but unfortunately this author has done little to clarify our dilemma.

It was nice the first week since we don't know what to eat anymore however, I am a veggie lover and in my 3rd week, got fed up of all of the prep that had to be done and that I just got fed up of veggies (thats a rare moment for me). Took me 6 months to get back into regular eating. Strange to say but I really didn't care what I was eating anymore as long as I didn't spend every moment cooking and doing dishes, toooooo much for me!!
