Purchasing from a Wish List
To find someone else's Wish List, click the Wish List link at the top of any page on our website. In the Find a Wish List box, enter the information for the person whose list you want to find.
After you click the Go! button, a list of results will appear. Find the person whose list you're looking for and click their name to view their Wish List.
You can sort the items on a Wish List by date added or by price. If you'd like to print the list, click the "Print This List" link at the top of the center column of the Wish List.
To purchase an item, click the Add to cart or Buy with 1-Click button. If you wish, you can click the item's title to access its product detail page to learn more about it. If you click the Add to cart or Buy with 1-Click button from either the Wish List page or from the product detail page, the item will be moved to the Purchased section of the recipient's Wish List when the order is placed.
Continue shopping or proceed to checkout. If you place your order through the Shopping Cart instead of with 1-Click ordering, you can enter a gift message and request gift-wrap when you fill out the order form.
You can choose to send Wish List items to any address you want, but the default delivery address is the one that the creator of the Wish List provides when the list is created. If the item is being sold by a merchant other than Amazon.ca, you may have to enter the recipient's address when placing the order. However, many Wish List owners have enabled their shipping address to be used automatically for these items as well.
If you bought an item outside of Amazon.ca and you'd like to mark the item as "purchased" on a Wish List, find the item in the Wish List and click the "Buying this elsewhere?" link. Follow the instructions in the pop-up to mark the item "purchased" on the list.
To protect the privacy of Wish List recipients, gift givers can see only the name, city, and province associated with this address. For more information about Wish List shipping addresses, click here.
