Orders Reports

An Orders Report is a tab-delimited text file that lists all items sold within a selected time period. It includes the buyer information you need to fulfill orders. (It does not include the buyer's billing address or credit card information.)

There are two ways to generate an Orders Report:

• Scheduled reports provide you with new orders received since your last scheduled report. By default, the Order Report runs automatically every 24 hours after 11:00 p.m. Pacific Time. You can reschedule it to run more often or at a more convenient time.
Note: Sellers who receive scheduled Order Reports via XML cannot schedule a text-file order report.
• Manual reports include a summary of all orders received for the number of days you select, including orders you have canceled or confirmed as shipped.

Scheduled Orders Reports

A scheduled order report contains only new orders received since the last scheduled order report.

1. Go to Orders and select Order Reports.
2. In the Scheduled Order Report Settings section, review your current settings.
   If you are not currently received scheduled reports, this section will say so.
3. To schedule a report or change your current settings, click the Edit button.
4. On the Schedule Order Reports page, review your current schedule or create a new schedule If you choose Daily, select the time of day from the drop-down list.
5. Click the Submit button.

Your new settings will be displayed in the Scheduled Order Report Settings section at the bottom of the Order Reports page.

Manual Orders Reports

Manual order reports include a summary of all orders you have received for the number of days you select, including orders you have canceled or confirmed as shipped.

1. Go to Orders and select Order Reports.
2. In the Request an Order Report section, from the Select Days drop-down list, select the number of days that you want to include in your report.
Note: The days are determined working backward in 24-hour increments beginning the minute you request the report. For example, if it is 2:32 p.m. on Monday and you select "1" from the drop-down menu, you will receive a report for orders received at 2:32 p.m. Monday through 2:32 p.m. Sunday.
3. Click the Request Report button.
   Your report will be listed in the Check Report Status & Download section at the bottom of the Order Reports page.

Downloading an Orders Report

An Order Report is formatted as a tab-delimited text file.

1. On the Order Reports page, in the Check Report Status & Download section, click the Refresh button (on the far right) to check the status of your report.
   When your report is ready, a Download button will appear in the Download column.
2. Click the Download button.
   A dialog box appears, giving you the option to Open or Save the file.
3. Select Save File and select a folder location. Click OK.

Reading an Orders Report

After you download your Order Report, open it in a database or spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel.

There may be several lines for an order in your report. If all of the order information does not fit on one line (such as when multiple promotions were applied to an order), the information is split over multiple lines.

Information about taxes collected is included in your Order Report in the item-tax and shipping-tax fields. In some instances, your Order Report might include other tax fields, depending on your setup with Amazon Services.
