Reading is consuming others creative output - consumption isn't identity. Whether you read the Illiad or Garfield comic strips - if you are consuming and not creating it doesn't add to your identity. Just means you bought a different book than the other guy. That's it.

Great novel, nothing really shocking but a satisfying conclusion. Read it in 3 sittings. Some of the battle scenes are lacking that certain something that lets a reader feel emotionally connected to the people. Worth reading.

Firstly my bias - I'm an Orthodox Christian with no denominational affiliations.

I found the book well written and well researched. I never felt like I was wading through a textbook full of facts. The men and women that she tells about are always interesting and were relevant to their times - infact illuminating the dissent in the church is a good way of framing the entire church's positions more clearly.

I gave it only 3 stars because of 2 reasons;
1) The author never explicitly states what makes a Christian. I find that the book tries to answer this with an all embracing standpoint 'You are a Christian if you say so.' However, a Free market politican who… Read more

I finished this game a few days ago. The voice acting is excellent, I didn't find myself skipping through the dialogue like most games and what is there is intelligent, empathetic, and usually funny. I thought the graphics were well done (I've got a nice 1080p 40" TV). The 'tactic screen' was useless.

However, the overall story of the game seems to have been writting by horny 13 year olds trying to embue a game with 'serious' issues while still managing to cram incredible awkward sex (homosexual, prostitution, pity sex, gangbangs) and violence into every nook and cranny.
