I live in Ottawa, Canada's capital city. I am an endocrinologist, a medical specialist in hormones, ie. diabete, thyroid disease, etc. I am a huge fan of the Ottawa Senators, Neil Young, and the Lord of the Rings. I live with my wife and our 12 year old son. (books and movies!)

Like many in the English Speaking world, I saw Vanilla Sky without realizing that it was the American Remake of the Spanish movie Abre Los Ojos. Once I discovered that, I saw the original. WOW! Typically, Hollywood takes a terrfic non-English language movie and the remake, while glitzierlacks the itensity of the original. It maeks you wonder why Vanilla Sky was even made (aside from making money!) The acting and emotions in the original movie were much better than in Vanilla Sky- even with sub-titles! It is quite interesting, seeing Vanilla Sky first, as it's essentially the same story, except in New York instead of Madrid. Penelope Cruz plays Sofia in both movies, whcih adds to the… Read more

I truly loved Zuma back in 1974 when it was released, and I've continued to play it regularly since that time. For the true fan of Neil and the Horse it's an absolute classic, with the right mix of extended guitar jams like "Danger Bird" "Drive Back" and the classic "Cortez the Killer" showing how Neil and the Boys could rock with the best of them! The latter two are practically standards of any Neil Yougn & Crazy Horse concert I've seen. "Barstool Blues" is a truly inspired song,too. with a bluesy sound.
