My Horses, My Teachers by Alois Podhajsky
My Horses, My Teachers by Alois Podhajsky
Colonel Podhajsky gives a valuable account of the history of the horse/human relationship that should be read by all horsemen and women regardless of the type of riding they do. His training techniques - long before the current trend of "natural horsemanship" - are based on working with the horse's nature to create a willing partnership. After you read this book, you will understand why good horse training takes time and there are no shortcuts without consequences.

5.0 out of 5 stars A True Feel Good Story, Dec 12 2010
A compelling and balanced account of this true life rescue effort. Even though I knew the outcome, I was riveted to the end and inspired by the determination of this small community. With the beautiful descriptions of the life and scenery in northeastern British Columbia, this book is definitely not just for horse lovers.
