Excellent movie, but a copycat of many others., Feb 23 2010

This movie is a copycat of the likes of "Hero", "The House of Flying Daggers" and "The Curse of the Golden Flower". It's worse than the first, but the latter than the latter two. There are some silly things that happen in movie, but overall it was a touching and great movie. The focus here is not only on fighting, but also on the conflicted characters. Some bad decisions lead them to some bad circumstances and they have to go back and correct their mistakes.
Story is that an Emperor is assassinated and another is to be appointed, which throws the government into disarray. A split ensues, the daughter of the Emperor is almost assassinated and a war within the country is unleashed… Read more
