I picked up this disc used not knowing if I'd like more than "Stolen Car". I was hooked immediately. I actually carry this disc with me in my purse because I never know when the longing will hit for my Beth fix. I listen at the office, in the car and at home. These are some of the most thought provoking songs comparable to early Van Morrison. Do yourself a favor and discover the depth of Beth. "Stars All Seem To Weep" is gorgeous. Thank you Beth. Give us more.
As a fan of female lead vocalists, I hit the mother lode with this one! Like the others who said they knew they must own this disc even before the movie was over is also true in my case. There is a complete variety of fresh talent here from newer artists such as Bree Sharp, Tara Maclean, and Kendall Payne. A melodic flow is what you'll hear from start to finish. The best soundtrack since Empire Records a few years back. This one is a keeper.
I have been raving about this movie for about 15 years now. To see it once is to see it dozens of times. I can recite it and still get something out of it every time. It is by far, my favorite movie of all time. Whenever you lack lust for life, see Maude in action. "I feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are this.... allow themselves to be treated as that." Maude
I think we all have a bit of Harold in us that is waiting for a Maude.
