In My Own Words:
I'm a student. Both in profession and, I hope, in nature. My drive is to know and love God, though I'll be the first to admit I err frequently along the way. People tell me I'm intelligent, though I'm no scholar, nor do I desire to be one. I'm just pressing my way through life, seeking to live it with God and as he wants me to live it.

There is no book that I can think of that strikes me harder than An Arrow Pointing to Heaven. I do not read through this book; I cry through it. Granted not every chapter struck me terribly hard, but the majority did. I long to live life with the same passion and intensity as this man. There are some points where I did, admittedly, tear up, but they were few and based on a moment and not on the whole. It's an interesting concept, and, were it done exceedingly well, it would be startlingly… Read more

Depth? You probably won't find it here. Lucado does not specialize in depth in his books. But that doesn't entirely diminish the value of this work. Most of what you'll find in this book is a treat for the imagination, a vibrant examination of what is one of the two most important days in history. Lucado does an amazing job of bringing to life the people and the events that surrounded the cross of Christ, and you may find yourself struck by a new perspective, a new realization, a fresh view of what you've known for years. If you're seeking a book to pore over, to dissect and study and drain every word for every last drop of value, this is the wrong book and the wrong author. But if… Read more
