I am slowly going through the book as I learn how to use my IPAD. I find the book easy to use and the pictures help a lot. I would recommend this book to, any senior learning how to navigate around their IPAD.

Ipad for seniors; it works! Feb. 1 2012
By Amazon Reviewer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My grandmother got an iPad for her 80th birthday and she loves it. She now uses the ipad to Skype us and her grand kids, send emails and read the news. When we first got her the ipad, she was not interested and did not believe she could ever learn `future technology' like this. So we got her some `old technology' in the form she knew: a book!

We browsed on Amazon for ipad books for seniors and found this book: Ipad for Seniors to be the one with the most consistently good reviews. I think the publisher is on to something and has has the right idea: clear pictures and chapters that address basic and complete utilization of the ipad. Numerous iPad apps (some specifically designed for seniors using the iPad) also get a lot of attention and they way the information is presented makes it very clear, even for complete iPad dummies like me.

This is the easiest to follow manuel I have ever used! Set up like a class room text book with help everywhere! Because of the clarity I just ordered the "More Windows 7 for Seniors" by the Visual Steps company.

ipad for Seniors June 9 2012
By L. Evans - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this book for my 92-yr.old sister who just got an ipad and who is losing her vision. She is finding it very helpful, even though she has to use a magnifying glass in some places (her vision is extremely poor). She tells me that she has learned a number of routines with help from the book. I can't be specific, since I haven't used it myself, but the fact that her husband has found the book useful substantiates her opinion.

dasy to use Sept. 30 2012
By Helen Newman - Published on Amazon.com

I have used a computer for years, but without a manual included in the box of the ipad when I bought it, I was lost. This book gave very simple instructions and I could pass over the parts that I did not need and still get where I needed to be. This is a business tool for me and I did not want to be left behind. By using ipad for Seniors I could get up to speed quickly and start using the iPad in a very useful way. I feel this book would help any age group and I plan on having my 16 year old granddaughter go thru it. Of course she thinks she knows everything anyway, but even she will pick up a trick or two.
